The Take Attendance interface is used to record daily attendance for students.

Before attendance can be recorded, the user must select the appropriate attendance register.

The Select Daily Register section provides the following fields:

  • Term — Used to select the academic term.
  • Class — Used to select the class.
  • Stream — Used to select the relevant stream.
  • Date — Used to select the date for which attendance is being recorded.

The Load Register button is used to load the attendance register based on the selected information.

Daily Attendance Register

After the register has been loaded, the system displays the selected class, stream, and attendance date.

For example, the register identifies the class and stream together with the selected attendance date.

The attendance register provides controls for quickly applying attendance statuses to the entire class.

The available actions include:

  • Mark All Present — Marks all students in the register as present.
  • Mark All Absent — Marks all students in the register as absent.
  • Save Draft — Saves the attendance information without submitting it as final.
  • Submit Attendance — Submits the attendance record.

These functions make it easier to capture attendance efficiently while still allowing individual student statuses to be adjusted.

Student Attendance Records

The daily attendance register displays each student individually.

The table includes:

  • # — Displays the student’s position in the register.
  • Student — Displays the student’s name and student identifier.
  • Status — Provides a dropdown for selecting the student’s attendance status.
  • Remarks — Provides an optional field for entering additional information.

The Status field allows the attendance officer or authorized user to select the appropriate status for each student.

The Remarks field can be used when additional information is required for a particular attendance record.

Saving and Submitting Attendance

Attendance can be managed through two stages.

The Save Draft function allows attendance information to be saved before final submission. This is useful when attendance is still being reviewed or when the user needs to continue working on the register later.

The Submit Attendance function is used when the attendance information has been completed and is ready for submission.

Users should review the attendance information before selecting Submit Attendance
