The Library Management module is used to manage the school’s library resources and circulation activities. It provides functionality for registering books, organizing books into categories, managing shelf locations, maintaining physical book inventory, issuing and returning books, generating barcodes, and producing library reports.

The module provides a centralized interface for tracking library resources from the point at which a book is registered in the catalogue through its physical inventory location and borrowing history.

The Library module contains the following main functions:

  • Books Management — Used to create and manage library book records.
  • Library Inventory — Used to manage individual physical copies of books, including their barcodes, locations, and availability.
  • Library Shelves — Used to create and manage physical shelf locations.
  • Book Categories — Used to create and manage book classification categories.
  • Borrowed Books — Used to manage books issued to library members and monitor their return status.
  • Barcode Generator — Used to generate barcode labels for library books.
  • Library Inventory Reports — Used to generate reports relating to library inventory, borrowed books, and missing books.

The availability of specific functions and actions depends on the permissions assigned to the user’s account.
