Relationship Between Library Records

The Library module uses related records to maintain a complete representation of each physical library resource.

A book is first registered through Books Management, where its catalogue information is recorded.

The book can then be associated with one or more physical copies through Library Inventory. Each physical copy can have its own Barcode and Library Location

When a physical copy is issued to a member, the transaction is recorded through Borrowed Books. The borrowing record contains information about the member, borrowing period, expected return date, and return status.

This structure allows the system to track a library resource from its catalogue record, through its physical location, and into its borrowing history.
