Returning a Borrowed Book

The return process is used to record when a previously borrowed book has been returned to the library.

The borrowing record provides an Actual Return value showing the date on which the book was returned.

This allows the system to distinguish between:

  • Expected Return — The date the book was expected to be returned.
  • Actual Return — The date the book was actually returned.

After the return has been recorded, the borrowing transaction is reflected under the Returned status.

Books that have not been returned remain available under the Not Returned filter.
