Overview
The Attendance Management module is used to record, monitor, review, and report student attendance within the school.
The module provides functionality for taking daily attendance, viewing attendance registers, checking individual student attendance calendars, generating attendance reports, managing attendance statuses, configuring attendance rules, and using the attendance scanner for barcode or QR-based attendance capture.
The Attendance module contains the following main functions:
- Dashboard — Provides an overview of attendance for the selected term and date.
- Take Attendance — Used to record daily attendance for students by class and stream.
- Registers — Used to view attendance registers for a selected date range and term.
- Student Calendar — Used to view attendance information for an individual student or selected class and stream.
- Reports — Provides quick and comprehensive attendance reporting.
- Statuses — Used to configure attendance statuses such as Present, Absent, and Sick.
- School Calendar — Provides access to the school calendar area associated with attendance.
- Settings — Used to configure attendance rules and thresholds.
- Attendance Scanner — Provides barcode or QR-based attendance capture for marking students present.
The availability of specific functions depends on the permissions assigned to the user’s account.
